I was born in 1972 in Sessenheim, a small French Alsacian village
wich is known for the idyll of Goethe with Frédérique,
the daughter of the pastor who oficiated in 1770.

Essentially self-taught, however, I was made aware of the graphic arts from my earliest childhood where I naturaly found advice and encouragement from two of my aunts,
the painter Pauline Webb (1938-2015)
and the artist and art teacher in London, Rhoda Webb.
but also with the wold renowed painter,
Marcel Récher (1926-2016) Who lived at that time,
opposite my parents’ house in Stattmatten.

Passionate about drawing, I applied myself to experimenting with many techniques
such as graphite pencil, ballpoint pen, watercolor, ink, dry pastel, oil, dermograph,
and I also followed training as a cartoonist.

It was only at the appoach of my maturity that I specialized in etching,
wich I now practice in my workshop in Lauterbourg.

Even if I particulary like black & white achievements,
I now have a wide spectrum of graphic possibilities,
and while refusingto confine myself to a specific style,
I always try to breathe life, a soul, or a movement
in the stillness of my subject suspended in time.
